Fire & Smoke Damage Restoration
24/7 Emergency Response

We work with Insurance Companies

OUR FIRE & SMOKE DAMAGE RESTORATION PROCESS

1.) Initial Response

After a fire has occurred, we get called out and we quickly go to see if everyone is okay, and start with the emergency mitigation by boarding up all windows, doors and holes that were made by the fire department. We also do an emergency pack out with high valued items and necessary personal items.

2.) Assessment

We then figure out all the damages and see what contents and materials are salvageable and non-salvageable. This process can take a while to discuss with engineers, the insurance provider to see what the coverage is, etc.

3.) Smoke Odor Control and Fire Mitigation

After being authorized to commence all mitigation and odor control, we follow our 4 steps to ensure that all smoke odor and all affected materials at the source of loss are removed and eliminated. We do this by removing the source, cleaning the source, penetrating the source and then sealing the source.

4.) Re-construction

After all the mitigation and odor control have been completed. We then commence to rebuild and restore the structure back to it's finished conditions. In most cases if the property is out of date, we work with the engineer, the insurance provider, the city, state, the property owner, etc to make sure the building gets build back up to code to pass the final inspection when completed.

5.) Content Manipulation

Lastly, once having restored or replacing all items that were affected by the fire, we bring them back to the source and put them back in a organized manner where we found it, and document it to show the property owner everything like if nothing had ever happened.

AFTER

As you can see above, after gutting out the entire house and leaving the structure all the way to the studs, we make sure to have odor control to the structure. We then penetrate the structure to get rid of all smoke odors present in small cracks and hard to reach places. We then seal the structure and finish off all the rebuild process and follow all codes needed to restore your property back.

Fire Damage Restoration Services are Fire Damage Mitigation, Content Restoration, Source Removal and Re-construction. When we get called out to a fire loss we first make sure that everyone is okay after suffering such a loss of this kind. We then enter and begin our emergency mitigation by boarding up all windows and doors that were destroyed by the fire fighters, we also do an emergency pack-out of personal belongings needed for the people at loss, another emergency mitigation step we take is water damage caused by the fire fighters to prevent secondary damage like microbial growth, and lastly, we do any rust prevention from metals. For our content restoration we document every item that was affected by soot or smoke damage and speak with the owner and insurance provider to see weather it can be salvageable or non-salvageable to restore. Our source removal begins after all parties involved have figured out the details of policies to see how much the owner is being covered for after the loss, we then commence to remove all non-salvageable materials and restore those that are salvageable. After finishing the entire mitigation process, we then start the rebuild which can be quite sometime to finish due to engineering defects that might take into consideration or other details with all parties involved.

Our Smoke Odor Control & Removal is such an important process we take almost at the very beginning of every job we encounter for the safety of all parties involved when being on sight. We consists of Removing the Source, Cleaning the Source, Penetrating the Affected Areas, and Sealing off the Structure. When removing the source we tend to remove all non-salvageable materials and remove the smoke and soot from the salvageable materials. We then clean the affected material using special solutions to eliminate any bad odors and removing all soot. After we then start to close up the building from the outside with framing, doors and windows to start penetrating the structure by creating our own heat to open the pores of the structural material and using a thermal fogger to eliminate any odors in which we can reach due to the particle and micron size of smoke. Lastly, we seal the structure by using a primer and maybe paint after to ensure all odors are gone.

When dealing with personal belongings after a fire, we make sure our process becomes efficient and also take our time in trying to restore as many personal items as we can. We always do an Emergency Pack-out, Content Pack-Out and Documentation, Content Restoration, and Content Manipulation. When we do an emergency pack-out this means once we're given authority to go in we take high valued personal belongings including jewelry, electronics, guns, toys, clothes, etc. to try to give to the people who suffered the loss in order for them to try to make it throughout the first couple of weeks after the loss. After receiving authorization to commence all work, we start documenting the items that have been damaged and talk with all parties involved including the property owner to see weather its worth saving or replacing. We then take all items to a facility to have it deeply cleaned and restored in order to take all smoke odors, soot, and fire damages away from these items. After all rebuild is done we then do content manipulation by bringing these items back to the source of loss and place them back organized where we found them and document to show the property owner the progress as if the fire or smoke damage never happened.

After a loss due to fire and smoke damage, if the building has suffered a lot of structural damage and needed to be mitigated and removing a lot of affected material, it will most likely need to be rebuilt back up to code. We would go by any plans provided by a structural engineer to make sure we follow all state, city codes and regulations when building back. This step is very important for the safety of the property and those who live in it. We also use soda blasting during the process of framing due to all the seems and cracks where smoke might've got too in order to prevent any structural damage. Penetrating and sealing the structure is another important step in making sure the home has no more bad odors. After controlling all odor we finally put everything back and do all detail work in order to return the building back to its original condition up to all new building codes if necessary.

Containment Chamber
When dealing with any restoration jobs, we take the time to set up a containment chamber in order to prevent any cross contamination. These containment chambers are setup as air tight as possible to make sure none of the contaminants, toxins, spores, etc. to go to an unaffected area. We also set up caution signs for tripping hazards, chemical use, toxins, and authorized personel to enter only!

Residential Fire & Smoke Damage

When dealing with fire damage it's always important to make sure we take action quick with the emergency mitigation like board up to all openings that were destroyed during the fire, prevention of metal rusting, water damage from the fire department, odor control, etc. After doing all emergency mitigation we go in to the mitigation process of odor control in which we remove the source, clean the source, penetrate the source and then we seal the source. This is very important because that bad odor after a fire can be very toxic and bad for your health. This is also very important before doing any re-construction has been done.

Whenever we deal with any smoke damage, we have to take time to find where all the smoke went into due to the small particle counts that smoke is made of. This is very important because smoke can travel through small cracks, seems, air vents, etc. Once we figure out where all the smoke odor traveled to we can start the odor mitigation control by removing the source, cleaning the source, penetrating the source and sealing the source. All of this is by using special chemicals and equipment like thermal foggers, OZOM machines, ULV Foggers, etc.

Documentation
When performing any water damage restoration job weather the property owner uses their insurance provider or not, we take the proper steps to document every detail from the start in order to show proof of the process being taken in place to properly restore the property that was damaged. This also helps with insurance coverage as a justification for them to cover the costs of the bill!

Commercial Fire & Smoke Damage

When dealing with a commercial fire damage loss, it's very important to know that the structure is safe to go in to. When given the authorization to enter, we go in with a structural engineer to make see what part of the structures can be saved and what has to be removed and replaced. Sometimes, there's out of date materials which means they'll get an upgrade to code to meet the city, state, etc. guidelines. We also bring in an asbestos, lead and a mold inspector to make sure there are no possible cancerous contaminants present. After this process we commence to mitigate and gush out all damaged materials. After doing this we start replacing all structural materials or build temporary support systems to mitigate properly. We then continue to clean the structure, penetrate it, and seal it the end to control all odorous affected areas.
This leads us to smoke damage which is a very uncomfortable smell to have especially in a building where you work all day. We always control the odor by following some practices and steps to deodorize the structure completely and get rid of that smell. We always get rid of the source at first, clean the source, penetrate the source then seal it. Once it has been sealed, we are ready to start with the re-construction process to make everything look back to normal. In a lot of fire losses, there can be a possibility to get newer materials in order to be up to code. We document everything in order to make sure your propertie's insurance provider can cover the costs of this loss.
